Welcome to Oxford Brookes University and College Union!
OBU UCU is the recognised trade union at Oxford Brookes fighting for research and teaching professionals.
OBU UCU:
-
Collectively Bargains the pay and conditions for all staff on an academic contract – whether or not they are members of the trade union.
-
Advises and Represents lecturers, researchers, and post-graduate students on issues that may occur during their employment, such as grievances, disciplinary processes, contracts, pay, and workloads.
-
Organises with student groups, other local trade unions, and community groups to support those who live and work in Oxford.
OBU UCU also works with other UCU branches nationally to defend higher education as a public right, a cultural and intellectual good, and as an economic benefit to regional and local economies.
